A modern fleet management approach and optimal, 360-degree service for business – Tegeta Holding hosted a special event for companies operating in the distribution industry. Representatives from over 70 organizations gathered at the Tegeta Motors GEZI branch. These included guests from both the distribution industry and large retail chains that utilize various types of fleet for their operations.
The main theme of the event was fleet management - a service which significantly impacts business efficiency. Tegeta presented to business representatives a comprehensive service model which allows companies to outsource all transport-related matters to a team of professionals.
Petre Tsakadze, Chief Officer of Light Vehicles Division of Tegeta Holding: “The key benefit of our offering is its versatility and continuity. Tegeta possesses the resources to completely ensure the provision of any type of vehicle fleet and its subsequent management, whether it be light corporate vehicles, small delivery vehicles, commercial trucks, or heavy-duty trucks. We provide businesses with a comprehensive ecosystem, where we assume responsibility for every aspect, from vehicle selection to ongoing technical support and insurance.
According to international practice, vehicle fleet expenses account for up to 35% of operational expenses. Our aim is to optimize this process to the maximum extent possible. All processes are transparent and predictable, resulting in businesses receiving not only services but also pre-designed solutions, allowing them to conserve time, money, and direct all their resources towards their core activities.”
The event was held in collaboration with Tegeta Leasing and TBC Leasing companies. During the event, guests were also introduced to leasing products at a service center.
Following the presentations, guests moved to the GEZI branch space, where equipment necessary for distribution and warehousing businesses was showcased. Farizon electric commercial vehicles were among the cars from various brands presented, and the Chinese brand had recently expanded Tegeta’s portfolio, becoming the first in Georgia to offer specialized electric vehicles for businesses, including pickups, vans, and trucks with factory-installed refrigeration systems.
The exhibition also featured complete warehousing equipment and a wide range of vehicles from automakers affiliated with Tegeta Holding, including MAN, HINO, Mitsubishi Fuso, and FAW trucks. Participants in the event also had the chance to test-drive the vehicles.
Beka Beridze, Head of the Trucks, Commercial Vehicles, and Buses Division of Tegeta Holding: “We are not just selling equipment. We provide mobility. With this principle in mind, Tegeta has positioned itself and offers clients a comprehensive range of services that primarily focuses on business continuity. The official MAN service center we have established ensures that our clients’ equipment is always in excellent condition. In the event of scheduled or unscheduled maintenance, we promptly replace the equipment to ensure smooth operations for the companies.
Additionally, we offer the PPK (Pay-Per-Kilometer) model, which allows businesses to calculate the cost of their tires per kilometer driven. This enables them to use premium products and achieve greater efficiency while accurately managing their operational budgets. We also calculate the total cost of ownership the equipment, providing businesses with a model where they pay a fixed monthly fee and we assume full responsibility for all aspects of the equipment’s operation.”
Tegeta is also enhancing its fleet management procedures through the use of cutting-edge technological solutions. With the help of telematics systems (GeoGPS), the company effectively monitors the movement of its fleet and fuel supplies, making the management process more transparent. In addition to full-service offerings, Tegeta stands ready to provide driver services to partners as required.
The company firmly believes that its fleet management practices will set a new benchmark in the operational culture of Georgian businesses. The implementation of a proven and established international model, similar to those used in the American and European markets, is a top priority for Tegeta. At present, 54 corporate clients are already using this comprehensive service provided by the company.
